Come and join the nerds as they take on a book and movie that, in the case of the book, is eerily similar to the times we live in. Max Brooks' World War Z is up for discussion. The meticulously researched novel sits as a good model that follows how viral outbreaks progress as different aspects of life fail to acknowledge the threat, only the virus Brooks wrote about makes people into ravenous zombies that in turn eat the living. It is a brilliant piece of writing that was turned into a decent movie whose only similarity to the book is the name.

The mind of Akira Toriyama has given us at least one character that nearly everybody knows, Goku, and a pop culture phenomenon.
